Our Day

8:00am – Nursery opens. At this time the children have access to a variety of structured activities and resources they can independently access.

9:45am – Group time. At this time all the children come together to join in a group activity whether it is a group story, singing time, a structured group activity or discussing a topic.

10:00am – Snack. All the children are offered a choice of milk or water and a small selection of fruit and a savoury snack is provided.

10:45am – Free flow play. This gives the children the opportunity to explore outside resources as well as inside activities. This is sometimes limited depending on the weather and during the winter months but we try to accommodate this opportunity as much as possible.

12:15pm – Group time. At this time all the children come together to join in a group activity whether it is a group story, singing time, a structured group activity or discussing a topic.

12:30pm – Lunch time. At Presmere we offer all the children a variety of different home cooked lunches and puddings. The children are given water to drink and helped and encouraged to develop their table manners. We endeavour to promote good table manners. The children are encouraged to try their food even if it is just a little. All the children ask to leave the table when everyone has finished and say thank you for their meal.

1:15pm – Children have access to a variety of structured activities and resources they can independently access.

1:30pm – Morning session pick up time.

2:15pm – Free flow play. This gives the children the opportunity to explore outside resources as well as inside activities. This is sometimes limited depending on the weather and during the winter months but we try to accommodate this opportunity as much as possible.

3:45pm – Group time. At this time all the children come together to join in a group activity whether it is a group story, singing time, a structured group activity or discussing a topic.

4:00pm – Tea Time. This is a light meal which usually consists of a selection of fruit, cheese, sandwiches and savoury snacks. The children are offered a choice of milk or water to drink.

4:45pm – Children have access to a variety of structured activities and resources they can independently access.

5:30pm – Nursery Closes.
